Once again, Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute cardiologist, Dr. Mark Urman, has been named a Top Doctor by Los Angeles Magazine and for the first time, Dr. Arash Nayeri was named a Top Doctor as well. This special recognition for our cardiologists appears in the May 2024 issue of Los Angeles Magazine.
Since 2018, Los Angeles Magazine partnered with Professional Research Services (PRS) in conducting a peer-review survey of all practicing and active physicians within Los Angeles county to vote for doctors they deem best in their field of practice. Dr. Urman has been named as one of the top cardiologists every year since this survey started in 2018.
For over a decade, Dr. Urman has been named by his peers to the Super Doctors® list which previously had been published in Los Angeles Magazine prior to the magazine doing its own separate Top Doctor list. Dr. Urman was listed in the Super Doctors® list for Southern California in a separate publication distributed with the Los Angeles Times in January every year since 2018. He has been named one of only 3 “industry favorite” cardiologists by The Hollywood Reporter, a U.S. News & World Report Top Doctor and has been a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2011.
Since starting in practice in 2022, Dr. Nayeri has been quickly recognized in the community as a thoughtful, caring and exceptional cardiologist by his colleagues. Thus, it is no surprise that he has been named by his peers to the Southern California Super Doctors® Rising Stars list in 2023 and 2024, as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor Rising Star in 2024 and as a Top Cardiologist in the Los Angeles Magazine Top Doctors list for 2024.
