Since 2018, Los Angeles and Pasadena magazines partnered with Professional Research Services (PRS) in conducting a peer-review survey of all practicing and active physicians within Los Angeles county to vote for doctors they deem best in their field of practice. Dr. Urman was named as one of the top cardiologists since this survey started in 2018.
For over a decade, Dr. Urman has been named by his peers to the Super Doctors® list which previously had been published in Los Angeles Magazine prior to the magazine doing its own separate Top Doctor list. Dr. Urman was listed in the Super Doctors® list for Southern California in a separate publication distributed with the Los Angeles Times in January of 2018 and 2019. He has been named of of only 3 “industry favorite” cardiologists by The Hollywood Reporter, a U.S. News & World Report Top Doctor and has been a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2011.
